Citi Commercial Bank (CCB) has officially introduced its new digital platform, CitiDirect® Commercial Banking, aimed at enhancing the banking experience for its clients. Launched on July 10, 2023, in New York, this platform is the result of significant strategic investments to provide a unified digital entry point for CCB clients worldwide.
The CitiDirect® Commercial Banking platform integrates all of Citi's global products and services into a singular digital experience. This innovation offers clients a comprehensive 360° view of their banking relationship, encompassing essential services such as Cash, Loans, Trade, Foreign Exchange (FX), Servicing, and Onboarding. Currently operational in the United States, over two-thirds of the U.S. client base is actively engaged with the platform. Furthermore, plans are underway to pilot the service in Hong Kong, India, Singapore, and the U.K. later in 2023.
"This is an important milestone in delivering on our commitments set out during Citi’s 2022 Investor Day," said Tasnim Ghiawadwala, Global Head of CCB. Ghiawadwala emphasized the platform's focus on providing clients with a differentiated experience, aimed at empowering them while saving time and offering complete visibility.
Designed through collaboration with CCB clients, CitiDirect® Commercial Banking promises an intuitive and seamless digital experience tailored to the evolving needs of users. Key features include access to valuable, data-driven insights that facilitate informed decision-making and efficient management of everyday banking interactions from a single platform. The ability to digitally open accounts and request new products enhances self-service capabilities, further enriching the client experience.
Mark Sugden, Head of CitiDirect Commercial Banking & Digital Transformation, highlighted the client-centric approach taken in the platform's design. "The outcome is an innovative platform that responds to our clients’ complex needs and their expectations of a simple and intuitive digital banking experience," Sugden stated. He expressed satisfaction with the positive feedback received thus far and noted ongoing investments aimed at expanding the platform in key markets throughout 2023 and beyond.
The launch showcases how Citi's Institutional Clients Group collaborates seamlessly to deliver exceptional services to clients.
